Welcome to the Second Age of Enlightenment

Everyone here hopes you will find our work to be reasonably well enlightened. We also hope you are reasonably well, and that the topic of enlightenment is contributing to the enhancement of your health and outlook on life.

We are always very busy here, as you can probably tell. You may think we are understaffed, and if so, please offer your services to assist us. Perhaps you would like to start by making some tea for everyone.

It is important to remember that the 21st century Enlightenment is not a continuation of the 18th century's most respectable achievements. It is the beginning of the most respectable achievements of the current age.

Here in the sublime secretariat of the International Training Centre for the Harmonious Interplay of Beauty, Understanding and Magnificence, we are global pioneers of the Second Age of Enlightenment. We hope you will explore, examine and critique our work in an appropriately engaged fashion.

Perhaps you would like to tell us about your own past and present achievements, and your proposed future activities. Have you compared and contrasted your most important pursuits with our own?

We are sure you will be able to identify our most important activities quite easily. What are yours most likely to be?

Sublime Secretariat

Proper co-ordination is the key to the good management of knowledge and other resources in the 21st century. The executive board of the International Training Centre for the Harmonious Interplay of Beauty, Understanding and Magnificence employs the full-time sublime secretariat to assist with this immensely important task.

Everyone here hopes you are properly co-ordinated, at least as far as your dress sense extends. Whether you can dance, play a musical instrument, type a letter, file policy documents under the appropriate alphabetical categories, juggle oranges, conduct scientifically suitable experiments, and answer the telephone, all at the same time, is not really of concern to us, unless you hope to work here.

Our activities are sponsored by a large number of scientifically proficient, ethereal persons, as indicated further down the corridor and further down this blog-pamphlet page. At present, we are wondering if we should seek some other forms of sponsorship. If you have some suggestions, proposals or spare funds, do please write to us.

If you are a personage of high net wealth, you are quite welcome to donate to our endowment fund, as long as you have gained your wealth by suitably enlightened means.

For the Media

We hope you will engage with us through our main media centre, as well as in the social media centres we most frequently attend. We are especially keen to enhance the enlightenment of journalists.

If you consider yourself to be a personage of the journalism profession, we invite you to register with us to ensure access to world exclusives, breaking news of some importance, and eminent advice on how to improve your social standing.

One of us may even be available for interview by suitably experienced correspondents from time to time. This especially applies for correspondents who send us their mobile telephone numbers, with instructions on how to access the voice message facility.

Photojournalists are also welcome to contact us, but only when we are not eating, sleeping, walking to the bus stop, shopping, visiting friends, putting out the washing, reading, wearing old clothes or holding wine glasses.
